Product Details

Physostegia virginiana is also known as the obedient plant, for it's unusual flowers spikes, where the individual flowers are hinged and can be positioned to face in different directions. Not a particularly useful characteristic unless you are very fussy indeed! Nevertheless this tough perennial provides countless tall stems of pure white flowers for a long period in Summer. A 'Chelsea Chop' in May helps to lengthen the flowering season. Needs support here. The stems and seed heads dry beautifully.

Sow some on arrival, or early Spring in good gritty seed compost
